Pics of Nissan Terranaut reveal vehicle perfect for Picard and his crew
Nissan of Europe has released a bevy of images showing every nook and cranny of its upcoming Geneva-bound concept, the Terranaut. The 4x4, according to the company, was designed for “scientists, geologists, archaeologists or adventurers” whose office is the great outdoors.
It seats three people in an interior quite obviously modeled after a U.S.S. Enterprise shuttlecraft. The “spherical laboratory” is accessed from a seat that swivels 360 degrees to give any intrepid scientist access to all of the vehicle’s workstations. Those workstations leave room for only one passenger-side door, while the driver’s side has two swing-out doors with no b-pillar. What’s the chance of seeing the Terranaut on the street? Pretty good if you own a Holladeck.

Holy crap thats cool.
Its still a box, but you cant expect to stylize anything thats packed with that many technogoodies!
Gotta love concepts.. makes you consider things outside the "Box".

Does Nissan have a Star Trek fetish? I remember noticing when the last-gen frontier came out the font on the tailgate was really similar to "Star Trek: next generation" font... and on a vehicle called "Frontier" for cryin out loud... like Final, you know?
Whats next, warp core-styled engine covers?

Like Dude, this is way cool. Just the perfect vehicle for someone who "has" to stay connected.
But are those Michelin tires? They look like there are pieces of French toast attached. What's up with that?

There's only one problem. This thing seats 3 and no trunk space people... Hello!!!
You guys are nuts for thinking that someone is going to buy an SUV that only fits 3 people and can't even carry anything in the back and has virturally NO TRUNK.
Did you guys even look at the back of this thing? It has computers all over the place? You can't even put groceries or soccer balls in the back? They would bump around and destroy all the on-board computers!!!
This was a waste of money. Nissan is starting to suck again and this is all that they can come up with? Who gives the go-ahead on these projects anyway?
The only thing this truck is good for is the traveler who needs a "moblie office" They might as well throw a bed and mini shower in the back and sell it to all the pharma companies for the sales force.

are you serious? have you ever heard of CONCEPT CARS? and i don't think it was too much of a waste of money since it's only a 3D rendering. lighten up man, not every vehicle has to be practical.
